WORKER HOUSING
We are proposing to create a facility at the farm to house our many local workers as well as workers that come from other countries under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program every year to pick our crops.
We have taken a step back from our initial plans in order to work with the ALC, Central Saanich Staff as well as the neighbours directly effected to find a more suitable location for this facility than what was previously presented to Council. Once the future direction of our farm is settled we will be proceeding through the process further to obtain worker housing on our farm.
It is our goal to address the needs of the farming community while working in harmony with the surrounding community.
We ask that you become involved and informed during this process. It is our hope that you will write either a letter or an email of support to Mayor and Council in favour of our Worker Housing Project for the benefit of the farm and the farming community.
