We are offering local, organically grown fresh fruits and vegetables to the community each week in our CSA Box.  CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and it originated in Europe and Japan as a reaction to the disconnect between consumers and their food source. CSA programs like ours will help reconnect consumers to our farm in the face of an increasingly industrialized food system. As people become more and more interested in where their food comes from and how it was grown, CSAs are an increasingly popular option for getting high-quality food from a trusted local farm.

Each CSA operates in its own unique way, but the basic idea remains the same: consumers and farmers collaborating to ensure a safe and healthy food source in their community. Here is how our CSA program works:

1. •The variety and mix of fruits and vegetables will be the same in each box no matter what size you sign-up for;
   

2. •We are in the three year process of becoming Certified Organic. Our farm currently has Transitional Organic status under certification by PACS and we only use organically raised produce grown on our farm and organic farms in the area to ensure variety in every box for items we do not grow ourselves. 
   

3. •There will always be between 8 & 10 items every week with two substitutions where possible. Here is an example of a week’s box and it’s contents;
   

4. •We offer three sizes sold either weekly or biweekly:
   

          Small - Family of two, a couple without children, or roommates = $20.00*

          Medium - Family of four = $25.00*

          Large - For a large family = $32.00*

1. •The main box pick-up location is at our warehouse location at 8277 Central Saanich Road as well as convenient geographical locations for our members. Here is where to find a pick-up location near you;
   

2. •A product list will be emailed out to our members every Friday afternoon with details of the coming week’s box contents with the two possible substitutions that are available that week.  Customers have until Monday at 2:00pm to either phone-in or email their substitutions and we will do our very best to accommodate everyone's needs where possible.

*(PLEASE NOTE: A one-time fully refundable container deposit of $30.00 (no HST) is also due upon initial subscription. The deposit is fully refunded upon termination of service and retrieval of the container in good condition.)
