so much by sponsoring various local sports teams and events.

Daffodil Days: Canadian Cancer Society
Every March, Canadian Cancer Society volunteers are busy
selling and delivering bright, yellow Daffodils to help
raise money in support of the fight against cancer. The
Daffodil has also become the symbol in their National logo.
Daffodil sales raised almost $500,000 for the Canadian Cancer
Society in British Columbia and the Yukon Division alone.
Daffodil Days is held in all 10 Canadian provinces, a number
of US States, New Zealand, Australia and Europe.
All of this was started in 1957 by Geoff
Vantreight and three volunteers
in Toronto, Betty Floody, Mary McGinnis and Fran Shannon.

Cancer Society's Website.
